VICKSBURG, Mich. (WWMT) – Owners of Ibison Concessions and Catering by Festival Foods, Russ and Misty Ibison, opened their food trailer to the public with a makeshift drive-thru in their front yard.

Misty Ibison says the COVID-19 pandemic has forced them to shut down their business as most events they service have been canceled in June.

Misty posted the idea to social media and gained overwhelming support from friends and family to go through with drive-thru service.

The Ibisons opened their drive-thru concession stand on Thursday, April 2 and had a line of cars for the entirety of the day.

"We had our first customer at 10:50 a.m. and we did not finish until 8 p.m. I turned away people because we were so exhausted," she said.

Misty Ibison said the response to the drive-thru has left them in tears from all of the community support.

"In this time that my family really depends on this and that there are so many people willing to support us, it makes me cry," she said.

The Ibisons said they plan to continue the drive-thru as long as there is demand. Their business is located on E T U Ave in Vicksburg.
